

The Sheers despite a good performance worthy of getting a draw let the game slip away late in the match to lose to the Casuals now on a winning run of three matches.
On 6 minutes the first chance went to the Sheers with Callum Mackie’s long ball finding new signing Lucas Boxall whose volley missed the target. On 8 minutes the Casuals had a chance that was down to the Sheers keeper coming out of his area but not retrieving the ball that Ben Portbury had to clear the danger from the Casuals forward Patrick Main. On 16 minutes a great chance from the Casuals Clayton Afonso’s overhead bicycle kick that brings out a great save from the Sheers keeper Drew Churchwell. Sheers followed with two chances from Lucas Boxall & Aidan Larkin with shots. On 21 minutes Kieron Scantlebury breaks through the Sheers backline with keeper Churchwell to beat only for his shot hitting the Sheers post. On 25 minutes Aidan Larkin & Harvey Valter combine to set up a good chance for Razza Ajibola who shoots past the Casuals post. On 36 minutes Razza Ajibola slide rules Lucas Boxall into the danger area who does not get enough on the shot to trouble keeper Baek. Good play from the Casuals on 38 minutes with the final ball into the Sheers box finds no Casual taker. A minute later Sheers attack with Lucas Boxall finding Harvey Valter who crosses to the far post that Callum Mackie hits the ball over the Casuals goal. The Sheers survive a late surge from the Casuals for the half to end goal less.
On 50 minutes Sheers Razza Ajibola upends a Casuals player on the edge of the Sheers area and with the free kick by Andre Coker sends his shot over the wall that wrong foots the Sheers keeper Drew Churchwell and its one nil to the away side. Sheers respond with Harvey Valter sending the ball forward that the Casuals keeper Baek is alert to beating Lucas Boxall to the ball. Further pressure on the Casuals defence with Harvey Valter contesting a cross with the Casuals keeper On 85 a scramble in the Casuals box after a corner sees the ball lurking its way towards the target only for the ball to be headed off the Casuals goal line and with the ball still in play Harvey Valter and Casuals Sampaio contest for the ball that referee Palmer gives the Casuals a free kick. The Sheers finally draw level on 86 minutes with Jake Horn making a run into the box to convert the cross into the Casuals net. A minute later the Casuals find a winner from a corner that comes into the packed Sheers area that comes off Sheers Ben Portbury head that goes wide and is recycled back into the Sheers box by Hakeem Adeakum and is prodded home by the Casuals substitute Gabriel Odunaike.
In the final minutes the Sheers set about to get another equaliser but couldn’t find way as the Casuals were clever getting the ball up field and running the time down in the corners when the Sheers attacks broke down.
A good game of football between both sides that the Sheers were worthy of a win/draw if they had their shooting boots on in the match.
